Heeeelarity

I once swore never to actually post anything on this, but this particular conversation was entirely too entertaining to not share. Names have been left off because they serve no purpose.

Me: Superficial contact with people is almost always better than actually engaging them. They tend to be...tedious? annoying? They get on my nerves quickly, certainly.

Nice Lady I've Met Once: Maybe I just have a more optimistic tolerance level than you. I truly enjoy engaging people in the moment. Most of the time. In the back of my mind there's this little whisper, "this is how I want to be treated"...

Me: Almost everyone does, darlin' ;-) I genuinely don't like most of the people I encounter, so keeping them at arm's length boths saves time for me and reduces my overall annoyance level. Win-win for everybody, since me grumpy tends to ruin things for everybody (except me, of course).

Nice Gentleman I've Met A Few Times: I'm calling malarkey on this one. I'm firmly convinced you're a teddy bear.

So, does anyone who knows me think the nice gentleman is correct?
